In the summer of 2017, I suffered an injury while training for my first marathon. I tried all the conventional therapies out there and nothing helped. I tried yoga for the first time in my life. In the first two weeks, I noticed a significant improvement. I experienced improvement unlike anything else and was hooked on yoga! I jumped into my 200hr teacher training at Namaspa and graduated with my yoga certificate in May 2018. Immediately, I started volunteering at the Hermiston High School, with the female athletes.
Even though I enjoy yoga, my passion is running. I’ve been a runner my entire life. I know firsthand what it takes to make those first steps to run a 100m dash to a marathon. Yoga has enhanced my running but also has helped me focus on other areas of my life.
I saw the impact yoga had in my life, such as mindfulness, movement, nutrition, and wholesome transformation from the inside out. Through yoga, I create a space for my students to be playful, explorative, and self-healing. I believe that yoga is for EVERYONE and EVERY BODY! My intention is to share what I have learned and empower my students to begin their journey into power over their wellness!
When I’m not in a studio, I can be found on my paddleboard, bike, hiking, fishing, running, horseback riding, and antique shopping!
